Sexual assault trial begins for Victoria man

Testimony continues in the trial against a Victoria man charged with aggravated sexual assault.

The charges against Charles Ray McCurdy, 39, stemmed from May 2010. He is charged with having oral sex with a boy younger than 14 years of age.

The trial began on Tuesday.

McCurdy was indicted in January.

Wednesday, jurors heard testimony from the victim's older brother, who accused McCurdy of sexually assaulting him too, among other witnesses.

Assistant District Attorney Eli Garza is prosecuting the case.

The defendant is represented by attorney Micah Hatley.

The trial will resume 9 a.m. Thursday.
