Victoria man found guilty of drug charge, awaits sentencing

A Victoria man awaits sentencing after being found guilty of a drug charge.

Kennard Shanton Johnson, 23, was found guilty May 13 of felony unlawful possession of a controlled substance for having less than one gram of cocaine in August.

He was indicted on the charge in January.

Johnson's sentencing hearing is set for Friday.

He is out on bond.

Assistant District Attorney Johna Stallings prosecuted the case, while attorney Keith Weiser represented Johnson.
