Emergency personnel move a blue Ford Focus that was part of a two-vehicle accident on Sam Houston on Sunday afternoon. The driver of the Focus was accused of hitting the car in front of her.

A woman was transported by ambulance to Citizens Medical Center on Sunday about 6:15 p.m. after rear-ending a truck on Sam Houston Drive.

Donna Jackson, 56, was driving north on Sam Houston in a blue Ford Focus when she collided with a green truck ahead of her at the intersection of Leary Lane. The driver of the truck, Rigoberto Cedillos, 38, was uninjured, according to Victoria Police Officer David Brogger.

Jackson's Focus suffered major front-end damage and the driver's side airbag deployed. The extent of Jackson's injuries were unknown Sunday, Brogger said.
