  • Can't you shoot a traspasser in Texas? If so, there is your answer. That should stop the trash dumping.

  • cb, these people are not asking for a handout. They want the authorities (paid by all taxpayers) to do something about the illegal dumping in their area.

  • Living in the country, I know first hand that this is a huge problem! Another huge problem is people dumping off their unwanted pets! They think that just because we live in the country that we will pick up their unwanted dogs and cats. I once found a cardboard box with a momma cat and 6 kittens!

  • Seems to me the county is dragging their feet on this one. How about the constables? See them riding around all the time, how about driving by your constitutes properties the same ones that put you in office. Back in the day my grand dad worked for the the highway dept. They would find peoples addresses on the road side trash and take it to the sheriffs office and they would find the people responsible for the mess and prosecute them. What ever happened to protect and to serve. Seems the service part is written off in this county. Would be nice if the DA went after them as hard as he went after elected officials. Don't mess with Texas goes for rural roads also not only interstates.
