Flags representing fallen soldiers being stolen

Editor, the Advocate:
Dear Field of Honor team: Each and every night since we posted the flags, Sheila and I have been walking the Field to ensure there is no trash, the poles straight, bows attached, etc. Guys, it remains a beautiful tribute to our veterans, and I appreciate all the hard work that went into planning, development and execution.
Before Warrior's Weekend, Sheila had noticed that there were a couple of flags missing. We replaced them, and all was made whole. At Warrior's Weekend, I was told by a friend that he noticed some flags missing. Sunday evening, Sheila and I made our rounds, and sure enough, we were missing SIX flags. We replaced them again. Sheila flagged down a passing police officer and asked him to increase his patrolling in the area. He agreed.
Last night before taps, I found another missing "soldier." This is getting ridiculous. Since we can't conduct a 24/7 guard mount, I ask that each of you pray for the Field of Honor and those who would attempt to deface it. It's hard for me to pray for someone who would steal an American flag from a Field of HONOR. I'm trying. I'm also praying that they would be convicted to return the flags.
If you haven't been to the Field during taps, I encourage you to attend one evening. It's a blessing.
Thanks for your participation in this "prayer vigil." Be blessed!
