  • Buzzards will take care of the remains pretty quick, and it's free too. I don't see the need to spend a fortune on a backhoe and a burial for a horse.

  • When a horse is elderly and loses muscle tone and can no longer hold weight - it should be put down? Is it suffering or does it not please you to look at it anymore? From the photograph, the horse has an appetite...

  • They have 65+ acres to bury the animal on. Pull the plug on the animal and rent a backhoe and bury the animal. Be sure to dig it deep enough so the wild animals will not dig it up and try to eat it. I have done it before and it is quite easy to complete. I feel bad for the horses. I don't want to see any animal put down. But when it needs to be done it needs to be done.

  • My heart goes out to the owners. It cost a lot of money to euthanize a horse and dispose of it. If you bury it, you have to find a place that does not have restrictions. You cant burn it because of the burn ban and some people would consider it cruel. You cant throw it away ITS A FREAKING HORSE. You dont have much resorces to dispose a horse.
