    Thanks Mr.Ortega for this wonderful story about our friends Pearl & Pete Gummelt.We have known them for about 35 or more years both wonderful people. Pearl is quite a lady.     Good story, Ortega, the photos from the past really enhanced the story IMO.

    I agree...great story!

    One question though...the sidebar to the story on the front page says the Memorial Day ceremony begins at 10:00 AM...but on page 2, in two different places, it says 11:00 AM. Does anyone know for sure what time it starts?
