High School – Lettered in football, basketball, track and field, and was a state Finalist in Texas High School Rodeo Calf Roping. Football: 2003-2004 Football State Finalist Team Member, Named to Texas Sportswriters, All-State Football Team, Greater Houston All-Area Football, First Team All District Football, Co-Offensive MVP, Academic All District

College – 2004: Verle H. Campbell Scout Team Award for Offense.

2005: Appeared in 11 games; Member of offensive line that allowed only 9 sacks which was the fewest number of sacks allowed in a season under head coach Joe Tiller. 2006: Big Ten Academic All-Conference;

Appeared in six games; Part of offensive line that helped Purdue lead Big Ten and rank 13th nationally in total offense with 415.7 yards per game. 2007: Big Ten Academic All-Conference. Appeared in six games.

Part of offensive line that helped Purdue lead Big Ten in total offense at 435.9 yards per game and rank 12th nationally in passing offense at 307.2 yards per game. 2008: Started in nine games at left tackle until injured during Ohio State game. Four year letterman. Appeared in three Bowl Games: 2004

Sun Bowl; 2006 Champs Sports Bowl; 2007 Motor City Bowl. Graduated from Purdue University with Bachelor of

Science in Aviation Technology.

Where is he now? Garret graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Technology. He currently resides in State Line, Indiana where he is employed by Ceres Solutions as Large Account Crop Specialist.

Garret continues to compete on the IPRA rodeo circuit and participate as a judge in the Indiana High School Rodeo Association.
