  • Funny how most people that cry bloody murder when it comes to abortion don't want to take care of these babies after they're born.

  • Sure, let's make it illegal. I can't foresee any problems with forcing rape and incest victims to have their baby.

  • wow. where to start?

"the church hates freedom" - huh? a little bitterness here?
"the church isn't God" - true, but you can worship him there
"If Jesus was alive.." - newsflash - he is. tomb and cross are empty
"horrible world: desperate housewives, jersey shore" - LOL
"religious Reich" - yep, hate those rich, arrogant Germans

"How did you come by statistics?" Google. (what a concept) - these are from the Texas Department of State Health Services for 2009.

"there are not "abortion centers" in Victoria County" - kinda true. Numbers are for Induced Terminations of Pregnancy for RESIDENTS of Victoria County (didn't say they were done here) - and - include other procedures done in doctors offices, hospitals, walk-in clinics and others. So, some WERE done here.

"abortion is a necessary evil" - really? might want to consider other choices, instead of playing the 'lesser of two evils' card. Supporting abortion while calling it evil - good strategy.

"shut the hell up" - looks like a personal attack to me... but its still posted here.

    hmmmm - editor?

  • Planned Parenthood offers a great many family planning services other than abortion. Prenatal care is offered as is advice and information about whether a person is ready to consider getting pregnant. Pregnancy prevention is an important service they offer which cuts down on the number of abortions...I had my vasectomy at Planned Parenthood in Houston about 35 years ago. It truely was the best $75.00 I ever spent.

  • First of all, there are not "abortion centers" in Victoria County. The closest place is Corpus Christi. So your facts are distorted yet again. Second of all, if all 77,850 babies had been born instead of aborted, who would be taking care of them and how? Its simple mathematics: the world does not have room or resources for all those babies. Like it or not, abortion is a necessary evil. Adopt any babies yet Mr. Tasin? No? Then shut the hell up.

  • How did you come by these statistics,Mr. Tasin? From reading your letter one can be mislead to believe that one could obtain an abortion in the county. I don't think so. It would be great if the poor and indigent could have the same rights/freedoms as those more well-off who can afford to travel to a nearby facility. Pretty scary that 77/135 were under the age of 19.

  • If you take away the option its a freedom taken away. I know how much the church hates freedom but look here, the church isn't God. If Jesus was alive or whatever peaceful key figure you believe in was alive. You think he would agree with the politics in the church? Hell no!!! Why bring a child into this horrible world. Aids, rape, government, diseases, murder, war, desperate housewives, jersey shore, these are the terrible things your children Will see everyday. Its not getting better people. Why put anyone threw that? In starving countries abortion should be mandatory. They are just suffering anyway. That's no childhood. I know I'm gonna get some crap from the religious Reich but don't bother spewing your religious bile on me. You can't win with me, I'm an atheist. Have a pleasant day.
