A 17-year-old Victoria man was arrested after a nearly hour-long backyard search, Monday beginning at 12:30 p.m.
Brandon Zuniga was arrested for evading arrested when he fled from officers on foot from a residence in the short block of Mumphord Street, Victoria Police Officer J.W. Stover said.
Zuniga was originally being arrested on a directive to apprehend a juvenile warrant, said Officer Justin Garcia.
Victoria police officers and Victoria County Sheriff's Office set up a perimeter from Mumphord Street to Planeview Street, only two blocks away, Stover said.
The man was arrested near a field off of Plainview Street.
"We had him pretty much blocked in," Stover said.
