A Victoria man will face an arson charge in a trial scheduled to begin Tuesday.
Carl Edward Shiner, 55, is charged with second-degree arson.
The indictment, issued in March, claims he intentionally set a fire in the closet of a Bloomington apartment, at 202 E. Second St., in December.
A search of court records showed Shiner also pleaded guilty on two different occasions for criminal trespassing, for which he received jail sentences and fines.
Shiner is represented by defense attorney Alex Luna.
Victoria County Assistant District Attorney Brian Hrach is prosecuting the case.
The trial is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. Retired Judge Juan Velasquez is presiding.
