  • This is hilarious!!!

Just last week the Vicad reported on the great program established in 2008 to deal with these insuranceless drivers.

Someone please enforce a law or two and get these carelss folks off our streets. Waving your finger at them and telling them for the 20th time, "Don't do it again" just doesn't seem to be working all that well.

  • Was the car towed? Jailtime, fines, community service- Too harsh--nope. Who is going to pay Ms. Horelka's bills? If she didn't have a DL, she knew full well she was not suppose to be driving. And the owner of the car she was driving should be fined too.

  • Intereste-
I agree with you. You borrow a vehicle then you should be responsible for what ever happens. However if she would have had an accident, guess who would have to pay..

  • @xxrocioxx - IF she was my daughter she would not be driving MY vehicle knowing she did not have a DL. She knew she did not have a license if she was driving someone elses vehicle. I will have to say a couple of years ago MY daughter was pulled over for speeding and that is her fault. However, the vehicle she had borrowed did not have insurance coverage by the owner and at that age she did not ask the owner if they had insurance BEFORE she borrowed it. She was totally unaware the owner did not have coverage. She had to pay the tickets and for 3 years she had to pay a yearly surcharge to the State. All this happened when she was 17 years of age and was a week away to leaving for basic training in the Army. She did take the responsibilty but I would like to think the owner of these vehicles should hold some of the responsibilty as well.

@ Interestedreader - this article did not state she was unemployed and people like you just ASSUME she is lazy!! Shame on you to call someone out like that also to the point you had to even throw in the iPhone and nice data plan. You even judge her parents in this matter. Her parents maybe did raise her well however she used very poor judgment in this matter and she is the one that has to pay the fines and punishment!!

  • Jail time , stiff fine , and car loss are completely justified for these folks !!!

  • @xxrocioXX - if she was my daughter, she'd have a driver's license, car insurance and medical insurance. That's how RESPONSIBLE parents raise their children. Obviously, not the case here. I'd be willing to bet good ole Celeste had an Iphone or something similar with a nice data plan.. no excuse for driving without a DL or insurance. N O N E!! 90 days and restitution sounds good to me, I am tired of the free rides and those getting away with it, while hard working folks continue to pay for their laziness!!!

  • ohh lord celeste should not be driving! lol....... @ familyman dont you think jail time is a little harsh? the no insurance ticket alone will cost her plenty along with everything else she is going to have to pay. if she was your daughter would you want her in jail for something like that and for 90 days too? ridiculous.......

  • Sounds like a little jail time is in order for this crime. Maybe 90 days in jail and pay the medical bills and an amount of restitution, for the injured persons troubles that were imposed upon her by the accident.
