  • You know, tafoer, there probably isn't a school district surrounding Victoria that has more transfer students than Goliad ISD. I even sent my kid there instead of VISD.

But you think kids are transferring into Refugio to play football? Really? Which ones? Can't say that I'd blame them if they were. I'm just curious because as a Refugio alumnus, I've never, ever heard that.

  • Maybe the next story will be about where Refugio gets all those football players. Oh I forget, Refugio County has a rich history of football excellence! Wait, what about Woodsboro you say. Never mind.

  • You don't like getting beat 91-6? Then do something about it.

  • I agree. The whole running up the score part of sportsmanship was probably written by the people that said everyone wins and lets get everyone a trophy for playing. A great coach, Bobby Bowden, once said it was not his job to call plays inconsistent with his teams offense. It is the other team's defense job to stop him. This is true. If the other coach does not want the score run up on him.....work on developing your talent.....I hope to see Refugio hit 104 this season!

  • Is there snow in the forecast? I actually agree with what the editors are saying in this editorial. Proof positive that there is a first time for everything. Refugio should whip the tar out of everyone they face, as long as they are able. Playing down to the opponents to save their feelings makes no sense. The real world does not care about your feelings, and that is a concept that young highschool students might as well get used to.
