One transported following Friday wreck

A 21-year-old woman was transferred to Citizens Medical Center Friday with non life-threatening injuries after a 5 p.m. wreck.

The 51-year-old driver of a maroon Toyota Camry failed to yield the right-of-way while turning right from Victoria Station Drive to Sam Houston Drive, said Sherry Hornstein, senior patrol officer with the Victoria Police Department.

The 51-year-old collided with a tan and white Chevrolet S 10, which was traveling south on Sam Houston Drive.

The driver of the Chevrolet, who hit her head during the accident, was transferred to the hospital, Hornstein said.

Names of the driver and injured were not released by Hornstein.

No citations were issued at the scene, Hornstein said, but the investigation is ongoing.
