Victoria native and founder of Women Rich In Faith Ministries, Patricia Pruett, has authored a new book, "It's Never Too Late: A Life Changing Choice."
Scheduled to launch Friday at Faith Family Church, the book chronicles Pruett's past addictions with drugs and alcohol.
In the book, Pruett discusses the struggles and consequences of substance additions, as well as the trials of motherhood, marriage, family relationships, and contracting Hepatitis C.
But Pruett's main theme focuses on her lifelong, up-and-down relationship with Christianity, and eventual commitment to sustained recovery and Jesus Christ - which ultimately led to the formation of her ministry.
"Women Rich In Faith remains dedicated to helping women find what I once wished for - to live happy, joyous and free. Our mission is to help and encourage women to find the one true love, Jesus Christ, and to know that they are never alone," Pruett writes.
Pruett is a longtime member of Faith Family Church and participant of the church's Celebrate Recovery Program. She will be speaking about her book and signing copies for the public beginning at 7 p.m. Friday in the Connection Center of the church.
There is no cost to attend the event, and copies of the book are available for purchase for $8.99. They can also be purchased on Amazon.com, BarnesandNoble.com and at Blessed By the Gift, formerly the Bible Book Store.
Pruett will also be signing copies of her book Saturday at 3 p.m. at Blessed By the Gift.
