Editor's Note: Blood Ties is a serial that will publish every Sunday through October in the Your Life section. It is a fictional work that involves the supernatural. The story is set in Victoria and uses local actors to play the roles. The style of storytelling is a hybrid, combining elements of comics, prose and Mexican photonovellas from the 1960s. The story uses adult language and concepts that may not be appropriate for younger readers.
