Conference to highlight energy development, wildlife

Help is on its way to Crossroads-area agriculturists looking for information on energy, wildlife and more.
The 13th annual South Texas Wildlife Conference is Sept. 28-30 at Victoria's Spring Creek Place Event Center.
Sponsored by the Texas Wildlife Association, Caesar Kleberg Wildlife Research Institute and the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, the event will focus on energy development and the future of wildlife habitat.
Topics throughout the event include industry estimates, wildlife impacts, legal issues, fighting habitat fragmentation and more.
Early registration is now open and costs $50. After Sept. 14, registration is $65. A block of hotel rooms is reserved at Victoria's Fairfield Inn for $94.99 per night.
