Victoria Fire Department firefighters extract a young boy from a car involved in a wreck at the intersection of Sabine and Cameron streets at about 5 p.m. Thursday. Patrol Officer Chris Case said the car was traveling north on Cameron when the driver failed to stop and hit a Chevrolet Silverado truck traveling east on Sabine. All three people in the car, a woman and two boys, were transported to DeTar Hospital Navarro. The driver of the truck, Lawrence Fredricksen, was not transported. No citations were issued and the accident is still under investigation, Case said.
