Yoakum man goes to trial on drug charge

A Yoakum man will face a drug charge in a trial scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. Tuesday.
Allen Lee Hardaway, 38, is accused of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, a third-degree felony.
He was in possession of cocaine, between 1 and 4 grams, in June 2010, according to his August 2010 indictment.
Hardaway is being represented by defense attorney James R. Beeler.
District Judge Robert Cheshire will preside over the trial.
The Victoria County District Attorney's Office will prosecute the cases.
