Conference for Catechesis and Ministry

The Most Rev. Richard J. On Sept. 24, the 24th Annual Conference for Catechesis and Ministry will be at Holy Family Church in Victoria. The Most Rev. Richard J. Malone from the Diocese of Portland, Maine, will open the conference with the keynote address using the Catechetical Sunday theme, "Do This in Memory of Me."

In addition to Bishop Malone, a lineup of clergy, religious and laypersons from the Diocese of Victoria and throughout the nation also will offer a large variety of workshops on pertinent Catholic topics.

The conference will offer 37 English and Spanish workshops. Catholic publishers will exhibit religious articles and resource materials for religious education programs; and Otto Bleier and the Knights of Columbus Council No. 9088 will provide breakfast and lunch for conference attendees to purchase.

The one-day, annual diocesan conference is open to all adults. Presenters include 11 local and 11 national speakers and 11 vendors will have religious articles, prayer books and an assortment of resources available for purchase.

The conference will conclude with the Most Rev. David E. Fellhauer celebrating the Sunday Liturgy.
