Two people were transported to a hospital Saturday evening after a wreck at the intersection of Loop 463 and Salem Road.

Ryan Hale, of the Victoria Police Department, said one person was taken to DeTar Navarro Hospital and the other was taken to Citizens Medical Center. He said he was going to both hospitals to verify the victims' status. Their names were not released. The wreck occurred at 7:43 p.m.

Hale said the driver of the Dodge Neon was eastbound on Loop 463 and the driver of the Jeep Cherokee was southbound on Salem.

The Jeep's driver failed to yield, but was not cited.
