Fire

VICTORIA - A grassfire burned about a quarter to half an acre about a mile off of Fordyce Road along Fox Road, about 2 p.m. Monday, said Victoria County Fire Marshal Ron Pray. The fire started after a tractor knocked a power line down, sparking the blaze, he said. The Victoria Fire Department and Quail Creek Volunteer Fire Department extinguished the fire within minutes, Pray said.
