Thumbs-up, thumbs-down; it's your choice

THUMBS-UP

Rick, Wharton

Marcos, Victoria

THUMBS-DOWN

Thumbs-down to the oil and gas companies and pipeline companies whose employees litter the roadsides with their trash and leave leftover pieces of tires when they have a flat.

Carol, Concrete

Thumbs-down to the city for taking back the ballpark they could not afford to fix up after the '98 flood. They cannot afford to maintain the Rose Garden after volunteers fixed it up. There was trash from someone's picnic, dead rose bushes, and weeds among the blooming bushes the last time I was there.

Hope the city has hired more caring staff that are proud to maintain park facilities. Picturesque sites to take children's photos at Riverside are replaced with mediocre, if replaced.

Ruth, Victoria
