Alamo Heights Baptist Church, Port Lavaca, will host InPurse-Suit of God Women's Conference. Registration starts at 5:30 on Friday. The conference starts at 6 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday Pre-registration is $10 per person or $12 at the door. The Century Singers, of Texas A&M University-College Station will present a free concert at 7:30 p.m. at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, 4102 N. Ben Jordan. This 78-voice mixed choir will be performing a concert of music by American composers.
A Grave Decoration Service will be at the Kilgore Cemetery at 3 p.m. John Dellis, minister of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Ander, will lead the service. The cemetery and its connecting grounds are the site of the former St. Paul's Lutheran Church, which closed as a congregation in 1954. Former members, families and friends of St. Paul's and the Kilgore Community are invited to attend the annual service. Before the service, families are encouraged to clean and decorate family grave sites. The annual Kilgore Cemetery Association meeting will be after the service.

The Second Annual Decoration Day will be at Evergreen Cemetery from 10 a.m. to noon. The Sons of Confederate Veterans, G.O. Stoner Camp No. 1000, will honor the fallen soldiers of the War Between the States. The cemetery is located at the corner of East Red River and North Vine Street. Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, 4102 N. Ben Jordan St., will hold its fourth annual Springfest and Barbecue beginning at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 22. Barbecue plates consisting of brisket or chicken, potato salad, beans, pickles, onions and bread will be served from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and are $7 each. Drive-thru service is available beginning at 10:30 a.m. off of Crestwood Drive. Delivery is available with the purchase of five or more plates. Tickets may be purchased and delivery scheduled through the church office at 361-575-4305 or by calling Alan Carroll at 361-579-0112. Bake sale items will also be available to purchase. There will be a silent auction from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.; the live auction will begin at 12:30 p.m. Children's activities will be open from 11:30 to 2 p.m. The cake wheel will run from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. There will also be entertainment throughout the day.
