Cuero library to host National Library Week

The Cuero Municipal Library will observe National Library week with a special program Tuesday.

Eunice Lee, a Master Gardner since 2008, will speak about herb gardening at 7 p.m. at the library, 207 E. Main St.

"I just love herbs," said Lee, who grows them in her Cuero garden. "I cook with them some and they also have other uses, including medicinal."

Lee said her presentation will also touch on the history of the use of herbs that dates thousands of years ago.

More than 260 photographs from the DeWitt County Shutterbugs photo contest and an angel collection in memory of Katelyn Destiny Trevino also will be on display during the National Library Week observance.

The Shutterbugs will provide refreshments.

National Library Week is an observance sponsored by the American Library Association and libraries across the United States each April.
