• Patrick L. Kubala is seeking the Republican Party nomination for Wharton County Tax Assessor/Collector. His name was wrong on Page A5 on Saturday.
In the same article his answer to the question "If elected, how will you go about effectively serving your constituents?" was incorrect. The answer should have read: "The tax assessors/collectors in Texas have been the agents for the Department of Motor Vehicles of Texas Department of Transportation since 1918 so that the public can legally travel down the highways in Texas."
On the same page, the headline for the Wharton County district attorney candidates was wrong. • Angalee De Forest was the adult judge and Charlotte Wyatt was the youth judge at the recent Victoria Art League Spring Art Show. They were misidentified in a story on Page E4 on Wednesday. The People's Choice winner of the adult show was Roxana Blanton with her painting "Macaw." The People's Choice winner of the children's show was Calvert Green, a sixth grader with his artwork, "Nana's Gift." The information was omitted from the story.
