Finnegan and Mourliere capture senior bowling titles

Deanna Finnegan and Billy Mourliere emerged as the all events winners in the 28th Annual Senior Mixed Tournament.
Finnegan won the women's title with a six-game score of 1,240 based on a 642 series in the singles event and 598 in team event.
With the victory, Deanna joins husband Charlie as a senior mixed champion. Charlie won all events titles in 2004 and 2005.
She also placed second in the women's singles event with her score.
Barbara Smith won the women's singles event with a score of 661.
Mourliere rolled a big 692 set in the team event to help towards his 1,228 total pinfall.
Mike Wortham captured the men's singles event with a score of 642, and Arnold Scheffer claimed second-place money with a 634.
David Persilvler placed third with a 601, and Arnold (Buzz) Buzzell claimed the fourth spot with a 591 set.
The prize fund is based on the number of entries per event.
The team "Why Not???" won the team event with a score of 2,530. Team members are Nelda Matchett, Buzz Buzzell, Billy Mourliere and Wayne Conaway.
Second-place money was won by the team "Senior Pain" with a score of 2,360. Team members are Norm Watkins, Simone Tipton, David Persilver and Steve Gritta.
The seniors also competed in all events based on age. The women's Class A (70 and over) was won by Deanna Finnegan with her score of 1,240. Class B (63 to 69) was won by Georgia Birchum with a score of 1,232. Barbara Smith won the Class C division (55-62) with a score of 1,187.
Mourliere won the Class A title with his score of 1,228. David Persilver captured the Class B division with a score of 1,208, and Willie Reyna emerged as the Class C winner with a score of 1,029.
The tournament was competed last weekend at the Century Lanes.
