Fans of the late Tejano superstar Selena Quintanilla-Perez will have an opportunity to discuss her memories during a Thursday book signing in Victoria.
Chris Perez, husband to the late singer, will sign copies of his new book, "To Selena, With Love," at H-E-B Plus, 6106 N. Navarro St.
The Victoria stop is just one of many for his national tour to promote the book, which shares stories about their marriage, the singer's death and her legacy.
"I'm very appreciative of her fans," said Perez. "I'm looking forward to seeing them."
Perez made it clear the book is not a tell-all, but it does clear up some of the misinformation about the singer and their relationship.
Perez married Selena in April 1992 in Nueces County.
Dubbed "The Queen of Tejano music," Selena was shot and killed in March 1995 by her former fan club president, Yolanda Saldivar.
Selena was 23 years old.
The singer received a number of accolades including the top Latin artist of the 90s and best selling Latin artist of the decade by "Billboard" magazine for her 14 top 10 singles in the Top Latin Songs chart, including seven No. 1 hits.
George W. Bush, governor of Texas at the time, declared her birthday, April 16, "Selena Day" in Texas.
