El Campo senior Bryan Sparks has agreed to play football at Mary Hardin Baylor University next season.
The 6-foot-2, 195-pound Sparks was a first-team All-District 23-4A selection at defensive end for the Ricebirds last season.
He was also a first-team pick on the defensive line on the Advocate's all-area team.
"They got a really good football player," said El Campo coach Bob Gillis.
Mary Hardin Baylor is a NCAA Division III school located in Belton.
The Crusaders went 12-1 last season and advanced to the third round of the playoffs.
