Northwood sweeps UHV in doubleheader

CEDAR HILL - The University of Houston-Victoria had seven hits in 14 innings of baseball Saturday and the result was a pair of losses to Northwood University.

The Knights swept a doubleheader, taking wins of 5-0 and 4-2 over the Jaguars.

UHV (16-27) had two hits in the first game and five in the second game.

The Jaguars' only runs came on a two-run homer by Tyler Steiner in the sixth inning of the second game.

The Knights (23-21) combined for 11 hits against five UHV pitchers.
