Name: Kenneth Wenske

Age: 57

City/county of residence Calhoun County

Occupation: OLA Operator Invista

Political party: Democratic Party

Office Seeking: Calhoun County Constable Precinct. 2

Why do you want to serve in this position?

I have lived in Calhoun County more than 50 years and graduated from Calhoun High School, went to Victoria College, and lived in Precinct 2 for more than 35 years. During this time, I have been blessed in experiencing more than 24 years of law enforcement and have grown to love serving my community. I have and want to continue to make a difference in Precinct 2. Over the last three years I have been approached by numerous citizens asking that I run for constable to bring our community back to a safe place to live, work and play.

What qualifies you to serve in this office?

The experience I have gained as past constable Precinct 2 for 8.5 years, a master peace officer certification, part time deputy for the sheriff's office and reserve as Port Lavaca police officer. I have previously patrolled all of Precinct 2, assisted with the sheriff's deputies, police officers and many other law enforcement agencies. I will listen to citizens, return phone calls and be available to the citizens of Precinct 2. The most important issue in being a constable is that serving your community has to come from the heart. That's what makes working for the citizens a pleasure and not a job!

If elected, how will you go about effectively serving your constituents?

My commitment to the citizens of Precinct 2.

To increase visibility of patrol in all areas of Precinct 2.

To take care of complaints of speeding and school zone violations.

To aggressively tackle high crime areas and complaints.

To continue to improve the neighborhood watch program.

To be a role model and work with the youth of our community.

I will listen to citizens, return phone calls and be available to the citizens.

I will continue to work diligently with all law enforcement agencies to make Calhoun County a safer place to work and play. Your vote is greatly appreciated.
