Why do you want to serve in this position?

I care about the county I live in and would like to ensure that our tax revenue is used wisely. I also want to help improve our community now and in the future.

I also want to take part in the decision making and future of Calhoun County.

What qualifies you to serve in this office?

I have been a resident of Calhoun County for 25 years and have worked for the sheriff's office for six years. I feel that I am familiar with the wants and needs of my precinct.

If elected, how will you go about effectively serving your constituents?

I plan to be present and active in the functions and activities in the county. I will be 24/7 with cares and needs of my precinct. At the same time be able to work with the industrial sector and keep our jobs local.

Why do you want to serve in this position?

I have been commissioner for 7 plus years and have met the expectations that are expected of me. It has been an honor and privilege to work for, and with the taxpayers of Calhoun County. My family and I feel strongly about the future of Calhoun County. I want to be involved in the shaping of our county's future for the betterment of all. I want to ensure the services that our taxpayers expect and deserve are provided at the least cost possible. I want to improve the use of our resources and climate to create industry, jobs, and tourism.

What qualifies you to serve in this office?

I am a graduate of Commissioners Court Leadership Academy and a certified commissioners court member with more than seven years of experience. I have more than 17 years of supervisory, budgeting, project and leadership experience. I am the first vice president of the South Texas County Judges and Commissioners Association that represent 67 counties. I have shown fiscal responsibility and the courage to make the tough decisions necessary to ensure the services that the taxpayers expect and deserve are continued with no increase in the tax rate. I have shown a common sense approach to opportunities and challenges.

If elected, how will you go about effectively serving your constituents?

The future will be challenging with the uncertainty of our economy. I will be available to listen to your concerns and assist you as needed. I will continue to be fiscally responsible and make the tough decisions in the best interests of all taxpayers by being more efficient and working smarter. With my budgeting and supervisory experience, I will use common sense to use your tax dollars. I will continue to be receptive to new ideas to manage your tax dollars in a more efficient manner. I will continue to seek economic development to make use of our resources.
