  • What about customers outside the city limits? We pay an unGodly amount for trash pickup as it is - try $136 for three months - which was my last bill. It would be nice to recycle.

  • Beakus - yeah, that's gonna be a long wait. They're too busy reporting on the latest pit bull nip. Breaking news, you know.

  • I am still waiting for the VA to run a major front page story on all the details of Victoria's recycling program. Lots of people are participating and would probably be interested in some details, such as, how does the recycle material get from Victoria to WHERE, how much are we averaging a month, what is the cost or profit of gathering the recycle material at the present time, and other pertinent information. It would be a well read article.

  • Sara,
Now why would Cobraden want to subject himself to one of those canned statements telling him "The benefits are enormous and just to numerous to list here today. Financially this is one of the greatest things to happen to the citizens of Victoria and we really don't see how we have operated without this fantastic program".

Cobraden, if you do go to the council meeting at least act as if you are supporting the program whole heartidly. That way the council won't just treat you like you have the plague.

  • Hey cobra, I have a great idea. Why dont you go to a meeting and stand at the podium and ask? That way everyone would know the answer. My guess is you would get some facts that wouldny fit your ideology so you wont do that.

  • So how much is Victoria getting in cash for all recyclables? I would imagine a very nice penny but if that is the case, where is it going???
