Yorktown High School graduate earns doctorate in optometry

Jennifer Elizabeth Blaschke graduated from the University of Houston College of Optometry on May 12.

Jennifer Elizabeth Blaschke graduated from the University of Houston College of Optometry on May 12 with a doctorate in optometry. She also earned the honor of being a 2012 Beta Sigma Kappa honor graduate. Before optometry school, Blaschke attended Texas A&M University, where she graduated in May 2008 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Science. She graduated Salutatorian of Yorktown High School in 2004. Blaschke is the daughter of Michael and Kim Blaschke, of Yorktown. She is the granddaughter of James and Neva Autrey, of Yorktown; Billie Blaschke, of Shiner; and the late Lamar Blaschke.
