Cate-Lazenby

Emory Christine Cate and David Michael Lazenby, both of Tulsa, OK, were married at 10:30 a.m. on June 9, 2012 at First Baptist Church in Tulsa, OK. Rev. Steve Lewis, of Tulsa, OK, officiated the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Bain and Jackie Cate, of Inez, TX. She is the granddaughter of John and Ann Hudson, of Victoria, TX, and Glenn Cate, of Dallas, TX.

The groom is the son of Felix and Annette Lazenby, of Deatsville, AL. He is the grandson of Dorothy Baggett, of Montgomery, AL.

Avery Cate, of Houston, TX, sister of the bride, attended as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Becca Stangl, of Tulsa, OK, Autumn Dinkleman, of Tulsa, OK, and Kelly Hill, of Tulsa, OK. Honor attendants were Sarah Cate, of Inez, TX, Audrey Cate, of Inez, TX, Julianna Sheeran, of Victoria, TX, Catherine Hudson, of Inez, TX, and Alexandra Behnke, of St. Joseph, MO.

Wesley Lazenby, of Jacksonville, AR, brother of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Sean Glades, of St. Joseph, MO., Jake Rader, of Tulsa, OK, and John Cate, of Houston, TX.

Ushers were Michael Hudson and David Hudson, both of Inez, TX.

A reception was held following the ceremony at First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall in Tulsa, OK. The couple spent their honeymoon at Lake Ouachita, near Hot Springs, AR, and will reside in Tulsa, OK.

The bride is a 2008 graduate of Industrial High School and a 2012 graduate of The University of Tulsa with a BA in Sociology and a BA in Anthropology. She was a 4 year member of the Womens Rowing Team, and is employed as a Caseworker at Day Spring Villa in Sand Springs, OK.

The groom is a 2007 graduate of Elmore County High School in Ecletic, AL, a 2009 graduate of Fort Scott Junior College in Fort Scott, KS, and a 2012 graduate of The University of Tulsa with a degree in sports science. He was a 2 year Letterman for the University of Tulsa Football Team, and is employed as personal trainer with Lifetime Fitness in Tulsa, OK.
