Customers wait for refunds from promoter one month after Hollywood Teen Stars show canceled

Some customers say they are still waiting for a refund from promoter Frank Salazar one month after the Hollywood Teen Stars show was canceled.
Tammy Brown said Wednesday that she's tried contacting Salazar every day by text, phone call and email for the past two weeks to get reimbursed. She said communication between the two went from regular to non-existent.
"I wouldn't be so bothered if this was just for me, but this was for my daughter," she said. "I have to make it up to her."
Brown purchased four tickets as a birthday present.
Parents like Brown waited in line in April to get tickets, some even staying overnight at the Victoria Mall to increase their odds of success.
Salazar, 44, said he's trying his best to reimburse customers.
"I'm trying to call everyone back, but sometimes I can't," he said. "The refunds are coming. It's just a slow process."
Salazar said he plans to give more refunds Saturday and Sunday. He also added that he wants the ticket holders to leave their name, number and information.
Salazar said he doesn't want to keep anyone else's money - it's just taking longer than he had hoped.
The show originally was scheduled June 30 to include stars from the "Shake it Up" show and was later postponed to July 14.
Within a week of the show, the Victoria-based promoter later said the show lineup had changed to include stars from the "A.N.T. Farm" TV show.
Salazar later canceled the show, citing lack of demand.
Salazar said he has to give refunds for 350 remaining tickets.
Brown said she has several friends who are also waiting to get their refunds. She doesn't plan to stop asking anytime soon.
"I'm not going to stop fighting. I don't care what it takes," she said.
