Progress continues for an emerging technology center on its way to Victoria College, but community input is important.

Victoria College on Monday will host an Emerging Technology Center design forum to offer Crossroads residents a chance to review the design and offer suggestions, Tom Butler, the college's president, said in a news release.

In April, the Victoria Sales Tax Board and Victoria City Council unanimously voted to deed 10 acres of industrial park land to Victoria College to build a training facility. The next month, voters passed a $22.5 million general obligation bond to provide funds for the college to build the training and conference center.

Construction is slated to begin in late fall.
