UHV plans ground breaking on dormitory

On Thursday, the University of Houston-Victoria will break ground on Jaguar Suites, its first newly constructed residential hall.

The University of Houston-Victoria will break ground on its first newly constructed residential hall at 4 p.m. Thursday.

Jaguar Suites will be at 2703 Houston Highway, in the lot between Jaguar Hall and Jaguar Court. It will be available to sophomores, juniors and seniors interested in dorm life.

UH System Chancellor Renu Khator, UHV President Phil Castille and President of the Victoria Chamber of Commerce Randy Vivian will open the ceremony with a few words.

A reception at Jaguar Hall will follow the ceremony with food and refreshments available to the public.
