The University of Houston-Victoria men's and women's golf teams will be hosting two tournaments in the spring of 2013 according to their schedule released this week.

The Jaguars will play host to the first UHV Claud Jacobs Collegiate Invitational, an exclusive NAIA event, on Feb. 16-18.

The men will play a 54-hole event at Victoria Country Club, while the women will play a 36-hole event at The Club at Colony Creek.

The men will then play the next two weeks taking part in the 2013 San Antonio Shootout presented by Sen. Eddie Lucio Jr. at the TPC-San Antonio Canyons course in San Antonio on Feb. 24-26, followed by the 2013 NAIA Contender on March 3-5. The NAIA Contender event will be at TPC Four Seasons in Irving.

The women will return to action March 17-19 when they attempt to defend their title at the UT-Dallas Lady Comet Classic at Canyon Creek Country Club in Richardson.

The next week, March 24-26, they will compete in the Bluebonnet Classic at Tangle Ridge Golf Club in Grand Prairie.

The Jaguars will then play host to the Association of Independent Institutions Conference Championships on April 28-30.

The men will again play at VCC, while the women will play at Colony Creek.

UHV head coach Brian Williamson is still trying to plan for one more event for each team in April.
