Whataburger to celebrate local heroes with Facebook contest

Whataburger will honor a series of "Hometown Heroes" who give back to their communities.

Honorees will be treated to a breakfast for themselves and 20 of their friends. Whataburger Facebook fans are invited to nominate everyday unsung heroes who are making a difference in their local community and deserve to be recognized.

The hero could be anyone who makes an effort to help others. Selection will be based on the compelling story and why that person is considered an unsung hero.

Whataburger will accept nominations for these unsung heroes via a special tab on its Facebook page through Dec. 21, and a Hometown Hero will be selected and announced each week through Dec. 28.
