The people in a photo that ran on Jan. 29 have been identified as Lena Alves and her son, Lee Alves, of Yorktown. The photo was taken in 1943 as Lee was leaving to go overseas during World War II. Gerry Riske, of Yorktown, identified the photo as being of Lena, her grandmother, and Lee, her uncle.
