Randy Vivero was on target with consistent games to take the overall high series for the week while competing in the Red River League.

Vivero blasted the pins for games of 248, 256, and 247 to total 751 for the night.

Carri Lee was high for the women with an excellent 700 set bowled during Sugar & Spice League competition.

Lee also employed a good strike ball on her way to games of 248, 233, and 219 to corral an even 700 series.

Larry Hall bowled a 300 game on his way to a 667 series. Unfortunately, his big game will not count towards a USBC award because it was pre-bowled out of schedule and unopposed. He also posted a 706 series in another league for a good week of bowling.

There were several 700 sets bowled by the men with Dave Matthews turning in the second high total with a 259-718. Other 700 rollers were Brian Hyden (268-707), Steve Zeplin (253-706) and Shawn Miller (258-254-703).

Scores of note for the men were Randy Morris (699), Jerry Cano (257-697), Korey Bryan (695), Mike Unger (258-690), Mike Stacy (687/259-685), Javier Hernandez Sr. (265-685), Tony Bennett (269-675), Steve Dickinson (670), Glenn Mason (258-669), Kenny Schupbach (262-668), Robert Pfeil (663), Scott Snow (663), J.P. Reyna (660), Glenn Pitts (287-659), John Figueroa (655), Mike Wortham (652), Joe Wittenburg (650), Bill Jackson (258), Todd Pfuhl (258), Jamar Bryant (256), B.J. Rubio (256), Darren Blohm (255), Sal Chavez (254) and Bruce Luerssen (252).

Ida Caballero posted the second high for the women with a very nice 232 game contributing towards a 654 total.

Other nice scores for the ladies were Christine Speer (247-628), Samantha Wharton (258-607), Lori Heil (228-599), Terri Mason (259-596) and Rebekah Martinez (247).

Vera Cruz restaurant bowlers for the week were Larry Hall (751, Sunday Strikers) and Karisa Miller (734, Sundowners).

Friday at midnight is the deadline for the Victoria Annual City Tournament entry forms. The deadline for the Victoria Annual Open Tournament is March 9, which is fast approaching.

The local Lions' Club will have an eye bank fundraiser at the Century Lanes on Saturday. Bowling competition will be a four-member team with at least one member being a Lions' Club member.
