Cuero school trustees take no action
Members of the Cuero school district's board of trustees took no action Thursday night on renewing the contract of Superintendent Henry Lind.
In closed session, Lind and the school board were represented by legal counsel. The session lasted more than two hours.
Out of closed session, no action was announced and the meeting was adjourned. Lind's evaluation was in January.
Both parties met to discuss legal options available for a voluntary exit from Lind's contract before its expiration June 30, 2014, but no conclusions were made, school board President B.J. Drehr said.
Drehr said Lind had expressed a desire to discuss a voluntary exit.
"Lind has done a lot of good things for this school," Drehr said. "He has brought funds up during a rough time when the government is cutting back on education spending."
