At its regular Rotary meeting on Jan. 17, the Victoria Rotary Foundation presented four local non-profit organizations with grants.

Brittany Hollas, executive director for the Victoria Independent School District Education Foundation was presented with a check for $1,000, which will be used for the "grants for great ideas" project.

Staci Robbins, executive artistic director for Theatre Victoria, was awarded a grant in the amount of $750, which will be used for tuition for youth programs at the theatre.

Dennis Brown, executive director for Food Bank of the Golden Crescent, accepted a grant in the amount of $1,500, which will be dedicated for the back pack program (food that children take home on weekends).

The fourth grant was presented to Thomas Yantis, executive director for Keep Victoria Beautiful in the amount of $1,500.

From the 30 applications received by the Foundation, 12 organizations were selected for funding. The remaining eight organizations will be recognized at a later date.
