A Victoria man was uninjured after being struck by his truck on Monday afternoon.
Daniel Startz, 46, of Victoria, thought his maroon Ford F-150 was in park when he stepped out of his truck at Cinemark Victoria, 7806 Victoria, to check movie times.
The vehicle was actually in reverse and rolled backward toward Startz, Victoria Police Officer J.K. Strauss said.
The vehicle rolled backward, knocking Startz down before coming to rest against a stop sign in the parking lot. Startz said he was knocked down by the open door of the truck. He said he was uninjured and refused treatment at the scene. No citations were issued because the incident occurred on private property, Strauss said.
