Red Flag Warning as cold front moves through Friday

The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for the Victoria area from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday.

A strong cold front will continue to move across South Texas early Friday.

In response to the front. The combination of low relative humidity values and windy conditions will result in critical fire weather conditions across the Crossroads counties of Victoria, Calhoun, Goliad and Refugio.

Outdoor burning is strongly discouraged. Any fires that develop will spread rapidly.

There is a 10 percent chance of showers before noon Friday.

Mostly cloudy with a high near 60. Breezy with a north northeast wind between 16 and 26 mph, with gusts as high as 33 mph.

On Friday night there is a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after midnight.

Mostly cloudy with a low around 44. North northeast wind between 6 and 14 mph.
