The Old Landmark Committee is set to host its 19th annual Martin Luther King Day parade on Monday.
The event, which is open to the public, is held to recognize the achievements of civil rights activist, the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.
"We need to keep it going so our youth have a legacy to learn," said Sandra Avery, president and founder of the Old Landmark Committee. "We all need to support it."
Immediately following the parade, a Martin Luther King Day program will commence at Webster Chapel United Methodist Church.
The program will feature ministers from throughout the Crossroads, praise dancers, poets and performances from local and visiting Gospel artists.
Food will be available for purchase.
"It's for everybody," said Avery. "We just want everyone to come out and walk."
