This is the same hospital that says they will not hire overweight workers. Guess they want their employees thin and white!

Brown is acting like such a pathetic little child. the hospital used to provide copies of the Advocate for patients and since this article was published he stopped providing this service.
Like it's the Advocate's fault he screwed up.
Also, in the wake of his misguided, somewhat racist, remarks he has ordered the entire hospital to act more professionally when speaking. Sent a memo out to all management in regards to proper behavior.

This whole thing involves a lot more than just racial discrimination. That is the least of the abuse these fine doctors have taken from Mr. Brown and others at Citizens Medical Center. These three cardiologists are without a doubt the best in Victoria. People do not realize how lucky we are to have doctors of this quality in a town the size of Victoria. It all boils down to having a group of physicians with outstanding skills who care about their patients being trashed by other individuals who are jealous and care only about making as much money as possible without having to work too hard for it. They have taken the abuse for years and are finally standing up for what is right at the urging of the people who work with them and their patients. Thank God there is justice.

Yep, this is clearly racial discrimination. When you speak about a doctor, you do not care what race they are. They are all highly trained doctors that went though all of that schooling to learn how to help heal people. That is all that matters.

I have Dr. Parikh as my cardiologist and happens to be an excellent doctor. Personally, I don't care what nationality he is, just as he doesn't care what nationality I am. Where would I be, how would I be treated if these doctors at Citizens could tell I was from Irish and Indian Decent? Come on people, grow up. Sounds like Citizens Hospital needs to do some house cleaning. Dr. Parikh and his partners need to go to Detar where they would be appreciated.

It is hard to believe that in this day and age a educated man like Mr. Brown would see fit to label people. There is a label for people that must add a "tag" to identify someone. Stupid.

There is another hospital in this town. Why not work a deal to move to DeTar hospital and leave the other hospital behind. Citizens Hospital is, in my opinion, is the lesser of the two hospitals. I am for the doctors. What is the complaint that the hospital has with the doctors in question?

Unfortunately, Mr. Brown isn't going anywhere until HE decides to- then, he'll probably have a statue in the parking lot that says: 'WELCOME TO HOSPITAL THAT BROWN BUILT."------------------------------------------------------------ NOW, THAT BRINGS AN IDEA! No the reference to Indians and reservations is very offensive to Native Americans.

Racist remarks such as this should get Brown fired.
Later, court documents showed evidence from a Citizens memo before the resolution referring to the three cardiologists as "the Indians."
The cardiologists also cited a comment from David Brown, the hospital chief executive officer, as saying the hospital was working on a plan for "getting the Indians off the reservation."
But if he keeps his job that is typical for this town.
