Hallettsville Junior Livestock Show begins Saturday

The annual Hallettsville Junior Livestock show kicks off Saturday at the Wilbur Baber Memorial Complex, 499 County Road 200.

The 2012 market show includes 26 steer exhibitors, 13 lambs, 82 hogs and 26 pens of broilers, said Terry Wicks, Hallettsville High School ag teacher and FFA sponsor.

Weigh-ins begin at 8 a.m. Saturday. Broilers will be judged at 5 p.m. and lambs at 6 p.m.

The breeding show is scheduled for 7 p.m.

On Sunday, market judging begins at 12:30 p.m. with hogs followed by steers.

Monday kicks off with commercial heifer judging at 8 a.m.

The market sale is set for 7 p.m. Monday.
