Bridgette Bise, the former executive director of the Victoria Convention and Visitors Bureau, is now an employee of the city of Goliad.
On Feb. 1, Bise will begin working as Goliad's Community and Economic Development director, said Goliad Mayor Jay Harvey.
Bise left her position in Victoria in June, shortly before management of the convention and visitors bureau was shifted under the direction of the city of Victoria.
Bise came to Victoria in August 2009, according to a news release on the chamber's website from that same month.
Before moving to Victoria, she maintained positions such as executive director of the Elk City Convention and Visitors Bureau in Elk City, Okla., executive director of the Grand Lake Association in Northeast Oklahoma and marketing and promotions director of the Jenks Aquarium in Jenks, Okla.
"Bridgette brings with her 15 years of experience in tourism and marketing," said Goliad's City Administrator Sereniah Breland. "She has earned the reputation of a one of the top industry leaders in community branding, events, public relations and organizational management."
